FAQ

  • As you know, CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility. We wanted to highlight the opportunity we give you to take Initiatives by adding the letter “I” in front, as this tool allows you to submit the initiative you think might be a good fit regarding CMA CGM sustainable development strategy.

I-CSR can also refer to our guiding principles: Impactful, Collaborative, Sustainable and Replicable.

  • I-CSR is a collaborative platform designed to ease and streamline the management of CSR initiatives regardless of their type, the pillar covered, and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN SDGs) addressed, for ever greater quality & impact.

This tool will help us to:

    • Collect and share the info we need very easily
    • Automate key tasks, standardize our processes, and empower our CSR network to achieve impact on a larger scale
    • Measure & benchmark performance easily pull reports, and effectively communicate on our impacts
  • Data accuracy is not “just” a component of data quality. It is quite literally the most important characteristic that make data usable and purposeful. It improves the decision-making process and is essential for effective analytics and powerful impact assessment.

The data entered into the tool will make it possible to assess the CSR performance of a country, a region and the Group. It will be reflected in the Group's reporting and monitoring tools and communicated to Top management.

  • I-CSR tool has been especially designed for the CMA CGM Group CSR Network Community.

Targeted users include CSR teams in HO, CSR Regional Referents, and CSR local Referents.

Top-management will also get an overall vision of CSR initiatives worldwide and impacts thanks to powerful tracking features & reporting.

In a first instance, this tool will only be usable for shipping agencies driven by GEN (CMA CGM, ANL, APL, Containership and Mercosul. We will then consider the possibility to extend the platform access to entire staff and other Group’s brands (CEVA Logistics, …).

  • Every initiative contributing to enhance CMA CGM CSR strategy that benefits to people, planet and fair trade and funded by CSR budget (CSR Local budget and CSR Region/Group budget) is intended to be registered in I-CSR.

The initiatives related to the Energy fund, and Energy efficiency & sufficiency plan are not concerned and must be managed outside the I-CSR platform.

  • Each initiative will go through 4 main steps:

    1. Initiation

Key information gathered in an intuitive and easy to use form

    1. Decision

Validation workflow and status notification (approved, refused, more details needed)

    1. Execution

Legal & financial Terms & Conditions

    1. Closing

Final impact assessment, global feedback, and termination

Depending on your user profile, your role and access to these 4 steps will vary.

  • Once submitted, your initiative will follow a validation workflow depending on its type, budget allocation and expenses required.

3 levels of validation may be required depending on the initiative: the regional referent, the CSR department at HO or the General Management.

The decision (accepted, rejected, or pending) will be communicated to you by email and will be reflected into the platform.
